Last night i bought this magazine that is supposed to be the hadrware and tweaking "BIBLE". So i opened it up and started reading and wanted too try some things on my computer. So i did some tweaking, downloaded a few programs such as winboost, powertweak, and powrtoys. So i started tweaking and i eventually came to a restart point so i restarted and it says non-system disk or disk error, but there is no disk in the disk drive.???????????What causes that? The only thing i can think of is that i changed the setting in windows for the hard drive to be dma. Which i don't even know if the hard drive was dma compatible. So now i'm sitting here installing Dos 6.2 because i don't have the windows cd-rom. I had the cab files on my second hard drive. Here is one more question. Will that have screwed up my second hard drive too which is dma compatible?

Well, thanks for all the feedback, but i answered my own question. The second hard drive was fine, but the first one i think is toast. I tried installing dos and it installed, but it froze on the startup
so i made the slave the master and disabled the othe and used a bott disk and luckily all of my info was still there. So i installed win98 and i am back up and running. Thanks alot!
