I am trying to load a Hewlett Packard 133 with a Maxtor 10gig HD. When I turn the computer on, the monitor acts like it's not even hooked up tp to a computer! I have tried removing all hardware, I've gone over the jumpers and replaced all the cables. What can i do? I've tried differetn video cards as well.

Try reseating the processor and ram.

You say you've replaced the cables - did you replace the monitor power cable as well as the signal cable?

Does the monitor work on any other computer?

Does the amber light come on?

What kind of monitor is/was it?

I'm thinking that you might have bought the wrong component - I.E. - the monitor's dead and you'll need a new one. Hope I'm wrong.
