Most onboard grafix can be disabled in the bio's, depending on what type motherboard you have. 1: start pc 2: hit the: delete, f8, or f1 to enter into your bio's screen. differant manufacture's use dif. keys, usually one of those key will work 3: scroll using arrow key's untill you find display option, set it to "AGP" or "disable onboard grafix" 4: save changes and exit Now your pc should see your grafix card when it reboots. After windows loads you should update your drivers by going to www.nvidia.com. I would not use the drivers on the disc you got with the grafix card, since most are outdated by the time you get the card good luck kenjishimamura 02-12-2006, 02:41 AM i set the bios and nothing happened, still using the buit in videocard,is there other options like putting a jumper on the mother board?i cannot use my ibm now,it hangs after the ibm logo..thanks again! blacknight31k 02-12-2006, 08:04 PM The info i gave you is a generally what the problem is, and how to solve it for most pc's. I need a little bit of info to help u more, the pic is nice but doesn't give me any details, like is this a store bought pc, if it is then i need to know what manufacturer and model # to get more info, or did someone build it for you? If its a built pc, then i need what motherboard "mobo" it is and the model # to help you more. you can do www.google.com search, surely someone out there has had same issuses as you or post the rest of your info "spec's" here good luck BipolarBill 02-12-2006, 08:52 PM There's no real need to disable the onboard graphics. Boot up and install the nVidia drivers. Go into Display Properties and set the #2 display as primary and do not let the desktop extend onto the #1 display. Move the video cable to the card port when you must. You will know when - the display will go blank or the PC will appear to stop responding. blacknight31k 02-13-2006, 02:08 AM I never even thought of doing it like that. Thanks Bipolarbill I quess it all comes back to "dont overlook the simple things" SysOpt.com
