Ok, I have a client running a Windows network, that is currently using a product called Uwin to basically perform Unix operations on some of their data files. However, they were thinking about adding a MAC to their network to accomplish the same things.

What they do right now is telnet to the Uwin server, and then run their commands against their files.

Does anyone have any advice on how this could be done using a MAC?

TIA :t

Since MAC is based on UNIX with a fancy shell, there should be a command prompt available to do this. The commands would be the same.

Bill, that was pretty much my thoughts on this. I was just hoping some of the more experienced MAC techs would jump in with some advice. I am pretty much MAC ignorant, hahaha
