Just don't buy the led ones I have had my fingers burned by those ...... Financially speakin' :t zybch 02-06-2006, 07:55 PM It should have been outlawed years ago. Name anything else thats only 5% effecient and that is still embraced by the world (not counting polititians of course), compact flourescent bulbs are clost to 90% efficient, but they cost more so ppl don't buy them. You'd think the power companies would offer some kind of rebate if you switched to all CF bulbs, but they won't. j.m@talk 02-06-2006, 08:39 PM Tight ferkers ......... Due to a allmighty balls up by the led GU10 manufacturers I gotta buy a shed load O' CF GU10's ......... They ain't cheap either ............ Grrrrrrrrr  j.m@talk 02-06-2006, 08:55 PM http://www.ebulbshop.com/acatalog/F7PAR16GU10.JPG £9.40 ea & I need 12 plus I spose 1 spare  http://www.eurobatteries.com/images/productimages/small/nrg-GU10-230-7-50-C-353-PCL.jpg These are only £4.45 ea but they never have any ...... Been waiting since Oct for some ..... Dates just been put back till end of April )-| herosrest 02-06-2006, 09:33 PM Now why isn't that the kind off law that politicians are falling over themselves to introduce. Just have a law banning the inefficient stuff. Every body understands. To disagree is No No. Claim the technology high ground. Let the lobbyist ***** over compensation. and. oh yes. Do something worthwhile. Could be done and dusted in 6 months. Just do it, and let pigs squeal - it would sort its self out, quickly. A heroic endevour. Na. lets go bomb sum thing. Yeah. zybch 02-06-2006, 10:35 PM Why don't the make it law? Simply coz the polititians are all in the pockets of the energy industry. And those ferkers certainly down want power consumption for home lighting to be reduced 85% do they! They want it as high as possible. herosrest 02-07-2006, 01:21 AM The world changed - amazing, no one of importance noticed. Tony2005 02-07-2006, 03:15 AM I've been using flourescent bulbs for yewars - just as bright as ever j.m@talk 02-07-2006, 06:39 AM I've been using flourescent bulbs for yewars - just as bright as ever J00 never were the brightest bulb in the box ;) :D mireland 02-07-2006, 08:25 AM J00 never were the brightest bulb in the box ;) :D you're a few watts short yourself... :D SysOpt.com
