I've had this channel bar displayed since 1 week ago and have no idea how it appeared. I tried to get rid of it but each time I restart Internet Explorer 4 the channel bar keeps appearing. It greatly slows down my browsing and I want to get rid of it.

Here's some (slightly dated) info on this Alexa. In addition to a channelbar, sounds like you're getting data-mined.

As far as removing it, I don't know. Are there any references in Add/Remove, any uninstall files in Explorer, any options to disable anywhere in IE? Can you rem it out through sysedit/msconfig? Just thoughts - I have no experience with this one.
This article reads like its pretty integrated into the browser. Perhaps a regedit hacking will cut it out.. BUT back up your Registry first. If Alexa has its electronic claws deep enough into the browser, it may render the browser useless.. (or you could get IE5 and start patching that up.)

I had that program on my computer one time but it was self inflected. I thought it was something real cool boy was I wrong everything slowed down. Try going to find file or folders to locate the program then delete it from there. If I remember correctly there was an option have it not restart the next time you enter explorer but I'm not sure. Good luck Butchk /forum/smile.gif

I got rid of Alexa by deleting it in the registry.
