the problem is that it now expires after a few months. the auto updates will also download the newer version.

Ah, I missed your post MK . According to a post in the new AVPE Support Forums , the new Classic 7 will still be free even after May '06 . The updater will update the license automatically.

If you can get an update... So far mine has scrolled through all seven servers and can't make a connection. It took almost an hour to get the update downloaded yesterday.

Yeah; the update was kinda strange, it would d/l the fisrt 98% in 2 seconds and 5 minutes for the other 2%.
