Cat5 cable length

Hi Guys,

I am getting a DSL connection finally and have 3 quick questions please.

How long can the CAT5(e) cable be:
from the DSL Modem to the PC's NIC?
from the Modem to a Router/switch

and lastly how can I tell if my USB ports are 1.x or 2.x?

CAT5e can be 100m point to point

check your device manager. if it says "enhanced" usb, then it is usb 2.0. you can also use something like Belarc to find system specs.
