Is 51C too high for my MOBO? I have a new build with A8N 32SLI.
I'm running.
FX60 41C
7800GT
Enermax Pandora case/liberty 500W PS
Is this bad? Usually mobo in my experience is at 30-40C?

I would add a fan or two, but if it runs without locking up, then it is fine.

you gotta take it all with a grain of salt. if your 7800 is close to the sensor, that will throw off your readings.

Most software takes readings from the BIOS, The Bios could lack calibration, (Do you have the latest BIOS) plus I don't think there are tons of people with a FX-60, it has to have more performance than what you had before. Generally speaking that would mean more heat. Air cooling right?, what kind of a cooler do you use?

motherboard should never read higher than the processor - on air cooling. I think you're looking at the cpu diode temp! maybe your monitoring software has the wrong configuration.
I'm guessing it's a software problem. I'll install Sandra and compare with the Asus program. It does look like the readings are flipped. 50c for cpu and 30-40c for the mobo sounds about right.
I'm using oem cooler.

Motherboard Monitor (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/) is the bee's knees when configured properly! have a look around the site to see if there's a plugin specific to your board that sets it up automatically.
Asus Monitoring Software is notoriously ****. :r

MBM is no longer updated so you probably won't find a match. You can also try Speedfan.

Everest Ultimate has motherboard temp monitoring also, but it ain't a freebie.
