Hello here is my problem
-im trying to convert my old P120 with a 500mb hard drive into a linux box...so i book up the comp with the startup disk in...i run fdisk and do the partitions...i notice it only recognizes 106mb out of 500....so i make a primary partition set it as active restart the computer only to re-enter fdisk and hit #4 for "view partition info" and my partition is not listed....please help thanks...

Did you delete the original logical drives and any extende partitions first ie start with a 0 drive?????

Linux will not see extended partition on dos disk you must delete it and try again if you want a linux only boot just blow out all dos partitions
