how to uninstall directx??

Please can somebody help me?? I have installed directx 7, which doesnt run too brilliant on my system, and i would like to install directx 6.1 again. ive tried to just install directx 6.1 but it keeps the newer versions.

DX7 may not work properly if you have not installed Direct Media.

If you try that uninstall program, I hope you have better luck than I did. My solution was the old A:\format C: /forum/smile.gif

Did u attempt to uninstall DirectX7? If so, what happened?

It got part of the files, missed part of the files and I could then get a clean install of neither version. So, cleaned it off and reloaded.

Thanks everyone. In the end I just had enough and luckly I had a fresh HD iamge to put back on. But I didn't try that remove program.

I have a direct x uninstall program which seems to work very well. I'll be glad to e-mail it to anybody that needs it.
