I just built a system for a friend of mine using:

Epox EP-58mvp3c mobo
AMD K6-2 400
32mb pc100
Ensoniq 32 sound PCI
Powercolor Savage4 AGP video card
Motorola 56K modem
Windows 98

The problem, I have installed all the latest drivers and the system still freezes up every so often. could it be bad ram/power supply or vid card ?

The AT case I used is a "USED" case at least 5 years old with a 250w P.S. in it.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how hot is it running ? if you dont have temp moitering on the mobo check the case is it warm to the touch ? if so add more cooling extra case fans etc, etc.
get some canned air and blow out the PS.
and make sure the fan is blowing out not in and is moving a good amount of air.

also check all your cards, memery chips, ide ribbons, etc, etc, make sure they are inserted all the way.

hope that helps /forum/smile.gif

Are you getting any Blue screens?

I would swap out the memory!

Nope no blue screens, it just freezes every so often, He would start a game of half life and it would freeze part way through the intro movie. Also he was doing his resume in Word and it froze on him when he went to save it.
