I have 224 mb of ram installed (124 on slot one, 32 on slots 2-4) and just recently I noticed windows (and my bios) is only showing I have 96 mb. Asus Probe shows that the 124 mb on slot one is not installed. I have tried some programs lately and installed some new stuff, see if any of this would be the culprit or if I have (gulp) a blown chip:
installed a new heatsink fan
installed a ide card with a zip disk
installed dvd player
using rain
tried waterfall
tried cpuidle
using sisoft sandra
used regclean once
any help would be apreciated!

In some cases 586+ there are no hard and fast tables for Mem. configuration. But, there is still a guide to possible configurations available Due to the RAS line share architecture of the chipset.
Here are the ones for my MoBo:

SIMM bank 0 yes no yes no no no yes no
SIMM bank 1 no yes yes no no no no yes
DIMM slot 1 no no no yes on yes no yes
DIMM slot 2 no no no no yes yes yes no
Hope this was helpful,
