Lately I have been having a strange issue pop up. When I start my PC I have MSN Messenger (ver. 7.5) load automatically. After it loads I usually check my hotmail using Outlook 2003. I notice Outlook comes to almost a complete stop & I cannot do anything. I go to Tak Manager, look at the running processes and see msnmsngr.exe is using 99%. Clicking on Performance and looking at the graph validates this. I stop the process and all is good. I then re-open MSN Messenger with out anymore problems. This only seems to happen on intitial startup and doesn't happen again while the pC is on.
Are there any known compatibility problems between these programs?

...msnmsngr.exe is using 99%
msnmsgr.exe is MSN Messenger
msnmsngr.exe is a worm , Rbot variant (http://www.google.com/search?q=msnmsngr.exe&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official) .
If your spelling is right, then update your AV and scan in Safe Mode .

Thanks Rocket, it looks like my spelling error. I did a search and found nothing with msnmsngr on the hard drive. Actually, I've gone a couple days without it happening. I run Microsoft Anti Spy Ware & McAffe Anti Virus, all up to date. Today I ran Spybot & AdAware, but didn't see anything like this. However, I will take a closer look at the process running next time this happens.

Well, it just happened again and it is MSNMSGR.EXE. I should have mentioned that when I stop the process MSN Messenger closes. I just don't understand what the issue between these two programs can be.
