No video when computer comes on

I have no video when PC is turned on. I can't see the BIOS, nothing. Have ASUS P2L97 motherboard with Intel Celeron 300a cpu. I have even tried changing the video card out and went to an AGP 4 mb card. Still no video. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I have system configured with only:
Motherboard, CPU, 64 mb sdram, 4mb agp video card, Hard drive. And still nothing.

Could be one of a million things. First thing to do would be to disconnect all unnessisary components (cards, drives, etc.) and see if you get any video. If that doesn't do it, look for any pieces of metal shorting out your motherboard (is it seated properly in the case?). Also, try swapping the RAM or even the CPU, but I doubt that you be the problem.

For me, when I've had that problem...I always went back to my video card and made sure it was seated properly. AGP slots are small, make sure it is seated flat and not at an angle. One time I didn't have it pushed in all the way. Some slots are pretty tight. Also, make sure your video plug is inserted all the way in card and monitor. Sometimes they work themselves out in the handling.

first of all you need to check is your power supply working. you can do this by turning the power on and see if the fan on the power supply is working. if that works, and all the cables are connected securely, then it could either the cpu, memory or video card not properly installed. make sure they're properly fitted in their sockets.

Make sure your monitor is working too! Tht is sort of elementary, but I have a monitor that quits every so often and won't display anything. Can catch you at times, no kidding.

Currently I am having a similar problem. I have narrowed it down to either the mobo or the video card. Do you get any beeps & if so describe them ie, 1 long, 3 short?

Had a similar problem the other day. This was on a system where a new m/b had been fitted, there were no beeps at all on switch on. The problem was due to the RAM not being compatable with the m/b. Fitted new RAM - worked.

I had the same problem when I built a computer for my son. What it turned out to be was the CPU wasn't seated properly. Memory will also do that if it's incompatable. Is this a known working computer or is it a new build? Good luck
