Bios Upgrade????1.1 to 1.3

I have a ALI GA-5AA motherboard with flash Bios. Rev 1.1 second edition. My problem is that at the moment my motherboard will only take a AMDK6-2/400. If I upgade the flash to 1.3, can I run a AMD-2/500. The flash ROM say i can...Will it work and is it that simple. Do I download the 1.3 manual and follow that, because they are not the same.

yes down load the manual and upgrade your bios if you have never flashed a bios before go here and read every thing http://www.ping.be/bios/
