The other day I decided to try out the Voodoo 3 card and was not really impressed mostly due to the price/performance ratio. After reinstalling my original primary card and voodoo 2 card, I am unable to restart my computer like I used to. I click start/restart or shutdown and all I get is a blank screen and the computer stays on. I tried to use the restore utility and it did not fix the problem. Did I mess up a driver somewhere? Please help. I have alot of important data that is a pain in the u know what to reinstall. Thank you for any advice.

you may have... there is a driver cleaning tool on the 3dfx website somewhere I cant remember where but I have the address at home if u need it I'll bring it in.. it removes all previous Voodoo only drivers from your drive before you install new ones

Have you tried either of these?
1) They the VOODOO3 again - to see if it will work.
2) remove and replace the voodoo2, might have been a problem seating the card in the slot correctly.

Another thing you might check is the VGA cable itself. Make sure a pin didn't come loose and lodge in one of the card VGA ports.

Boot into safe mode - install the standard VGA driver and reboot to normal mode - then reinstall the driver for the Voodoo 2.

To be honest, you think you are pretty knowlegeable untill you come across a problem you can't fix and with a stroke of luck, given good advice and reality set's in. Thank's again.
