I don't know which board is appropriate for this question, so I'll spread it around.

CPU PIII 533 (133 MHZ)
Memory 128 meg IBM (133 MHZ)

So I get my motherboard in the mail. I ordered an ABIT board that was listed as 133MHZ. Instead, I get an Abit BX-6, which runs 66-100. But no worries, I can clock it up to 150, so I should be set.

Problem? No CPU settings work. (well one works 100MHZ and 4X multiplier for 400 MHZ)
All other settings give me a message that says the CPU is "unworkable" and resets the default in my BIOS.

I'm not really sure what "unworkable" means, or why I'm getting it. Do I need a new motherboard, or is there something I'm missing.

I'd return the board and get something more suitable for your CPU.

Anyhow, I think there is a SoftMenu setting that needs to be disabled. Check for a "error hold" or "speed error hold" option there and disable it.

If that doesn't work, try updating the Bios to the most recent, if one is available.

I answered your question over in the other thread. There is really no reason to return the abit board as it has a easy "workaround" and will work just fine for the P3 133mhz chips. BE had it right. It's in the softmenu and you have to manually configure the chip and DISABLE "SPEED ERROR HOLD"

Saw your reply in the other thread letting us know that it worked for you.
