DLL problem.

When I run dxdiag(dx7)I get an error message saying that I am missing qcap.dll, qcut.dll, qdv.dll. Does anyone know what these are, or where to get them? I have looked at many of the DLL sites to no avail. Also in what I think is a related problem, when I run Regclean it hangs when it gets to dynamic link librarys (dll).

Those are DX Media files. Could be a bad download/install of DX7 or even of the previous version. Either that or you haven't installed the DX Media 6 Runtime patch. It could be a bad download/install of that too.

Try downloading/reinstalling both the patch and/or DX7. (Available at Windows Update page. If it isn't listed, click the "show installed updates" button.)It's most likely the patch because the dates for those files are older than DX7 files.
