I will be purchasing a Yamaha 6416S internal SCSI CD-RW drive, and was wondering what's the best SCSI adapter card to get with it. Price limit is around $100. Does anyone know what the best one I can get in that price range that will work the best with that drive?
Thanks!

Jw,
A lot of people will say to only get an Adaptec controller. But I have found that contollers from SIIG (http://www.siig.com) work just as well (all you need is a scsi2 card to work with the burner) so the SIIG model would be a AP-10 (about 49 bucks from CompUSA or a bit less online)
Others to consider would be DTC and of course Adaptec.

Whatever you decide to buy, first check out the vendors web sites for problems with the combo you choose. Check rev levels too.
Adapter, cd-rw drive, software.
When you get them all home and installed, you don't want to have one of them not like the other two.

Mntsnow: thanks for that info... I'll look into that.
beck: I'll keep that in mind while I look before I place my order.
Any more tips would be appreciated!

UPDATE: Decided to go with the Adaptec AVA-2906 card... Got it for $55 after shipping & handling. Thanks for the help!
