Theyve done it once before, and that resulted in aless than spectacular game

You know whats intersting to me..?? The first GTA series I played was GTA3 and knew of the previous two releases one and two ( the old 2D style game )...and then I got ahold of Vice City,,and..... 'at the time" I thouhgt it was the cats meow.
After playing that for what it was worth it became very boring and it sunk in that the cartoonish style was a little cheesy and I started to hate it. have not played it for almost two years now.
After seeing all the hype for the latest offering...it also looked like the samo cheesy character types and style and din't even bother...nor am I the least bit intersted in that...
Where I am going with this is that I loved GTA 3 and still do..and its by far the best of the lot..... a very good and entertaining game and it makes me laugh alot too..with the dialogs and all...
Just this past week I started to replay it again... ( and it looked so much better than even the last time i played it..maybe the graphics drivers or something )..and am having a jolly good time once again ...even enjoying it more than way back when.
For me..and its just my opinion mind you., I do not much care for the game after it went into the comic book style ( i call it )...
What they need to do is what most good games do nowadays and that is make it more real and true to life.... models and such should be more in the line of lets say a Max Payne thing...
If and when the latest one comes out... I would be verfy interested to try it out if they were to make a demo or something.... Just seeing previews and overhyped media would not stir my juices.... First hand..I could get an idea of what it offers.
I'm with you Jak...after number 3... they seemed to have gone the route of kiddie PS2...and should be gearing this more for the later teen and adult crowds... LOL

I like GTA Vice City and all of its charcters. The latest one got me full of hate, I just can't stand it. :(

I cannot believe u hate the latest one (if your talking about San Andreas). I think it is the best game in the world because the level of freedom has jumped up a notch, And there is a hella more to do. The map is insanely huge. And the story line was just great. Except for after you leave Los Santos and go to San Fiero and Las Venturas cuz then the story gets lost in a bunch of crappy mission. But the main missions with the gang territories and such were amazing. Voice acting was great. Samuel Jackson played an EXCELLENT part as the crooked cop. IDK it was just an amazing game and I think it deserved Game Of The Year. Screw Halo. Halo didnt deserve Game Of The Year over Half-Life 2 or WOW. I think every game of the year award was rigged and such. Valve and Blizzard and Rockstar worked Hard as hell for their games and the games turned out better than a crappy Halo 2. People were just incorperating Halo 1's greatness into the award not just Halo 2.
