How Do I bypass hardware and PnP Detection during a full win98 install? Is there a way to do this so that I can install Win98 without setting up any hardware (or at least with just a minimal portion of hw) until AFTER setup is complete? This is an attempt to solve a problem I'm having with a certain set of hardware devices during the installation of Windows 98.

What kind of hardware is this? Pci cards? Anyway, this may sound too simplistic, but you can just remove the offending cards. setup your win install, then after you get going, just shut down, and re-install the cards. Since that's so simple, I'm sure your problem is something else, but what the heck... I tried...

Hi there msalas,
Why don't you tell us a bit more detail about the problem your having with a certain set of hardware devices during the installation of Windows 98. It would be easyer to sort this problem out, than to try and help you disable your PNP devices!!!
