Can someone help me, my computer was working fine one day, and than the next it wouldnt start up at all. I opened it up to see if there was a problem and nothing was wrong so i closed it up, now when i turn it on, it turns off the circut for all the electrical things in my room, is there anything I can do to fix it?

It sounds like you have a electrical short in your system somewhere. Most likely in your power supply. I'm worried about your mother board. You could change the power supply and see if that solves the problem. I hope that is all it is good luck.
A question instead of an answer, does the on switch put power to the power supply or does the power supply put power to the switch? If the power supply has a short, wouldn't/couldn't it cause the problem even without closing the on switch?

It sounds like the power supply has a problem probably your best bet is to test it with another "known-good" power supply (possibley from a friend's computer) if it turns out that it needs a power supply you might be better off (dollar wise) replacing the entire case.
Thanks for the help, i got it to work.
