When I boot up I can hardly read the boot menu cause its so dark. I have W98se on a
P111-550 with a Herc TNT2- ultra. My monitor is a Proview 17". The monitor it set to max on brightness.

Have you tested the monitor on any other system? Has monitor ever "worked" properly? Then did you add software or components? Is the monitor driver updated?

A little more info might help you get better answers. I'm in the dark, here... /forum/wink.gif

I've tried up dating drivers for the proview
but W98 says the Plug & play ones are the best??? Thats prob my problem....Plug & play
monitor. Its really no big deal. I just
like seing this thing load sometimes.
Everyting else works fine with the monitor.

Just thought maybe I was missing something
in Bios..
