MadPistol 12-13-2005, 01:06 AM about the same. 7800 gt is a little cheaper I think. :t 7800 GT on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143042 X1800 XL on newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814131313 yep. The GT is a little cheaper, and I think its performance is slightly better too. :t NOTE: The XL is not a bad card. It still performs very well. Softail2004 12-15-2005, 01:28 AM thanks for your input! Softail2004 12-16-2005, 08:30 PM thats all the replies???I thought you guys were gamers????? and you have NO opinions on Nvidia or ATI????? Guess no ones reading here???? 53 views and only 1 reply??? LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Midknyte 12-16-2005, 08:46 PM post to the right forum next time. this should be in video cards, not gaming. The 7800GT is cheaper and has wider availability. if you have an sli board, you could also get a second one later. Softail2004 12-16-2005, 09:10 PM why thank you!!! didn't realize!! fizur2002 12-17-2005, 01:25 AM if you get ATI with the crossfire edition you can go toe to toe with nVidia or go past them. slam 12-17-2005, 02:57 AM some gamers have little ca$h and must survive on old video cards Midknyte 12-17-2005, 06:43 AM Crossfire just came out so I wouldn't jump into that boat. availability is poor, you need to get a "master" card, and you will be a "pioneer" with the new technology. SLI has been around a while and has matured quite a bit. I can't see recommending Xfire without some real solid proof that it is easier, cheaper, and faster than SLI. Softail2004 12-17-2005, 01:08 PM X-fire and SLI mean nothing to me as I'm only going to run 1 card in this machine...just wondering which is better in your opinions.... SysOpt.com
