They are going to come very close to the same I'd figure. Certain GTO cards would be better I would think because there are 4 pipes that can be unlocked.

Nvidia has me confused right now to be honest. I don't understand their marketing at all.

They killed the GT and the Ultra and replaced them with a lesser card. Maybe not much less but still.......

it's called making way for new cards of lesser flavor than the 7800 GT. They will be out shortly I'm sure :t

I figure to buy a new board and card next year some time. It is very hard to keep up with everything. If I upgrade to a socket 939 PCIE board I won't be able to use anything newer than basically what is out now CPU wise. New 939 chips are all but done arriving on the scene, they may even be done. Not sure.

If I buy an M2 board then I need a CPU along with the board and card. Sheesh. It used to be fairly easy to keep up, now you need tons of cash to stay in the game. I used a Socket A 1000 mhz T-bird for three years with a radeon 7500 agp card.

It never skipped a beat. Since I got rid of that machine in 2003 I have had a 2400+ rig with a geforce fx 5500. A 3200+ rig with an x800xt pe/6800GT and now an A-64 939 3700+ with my 6800GT.

I am about to put a stopper on my buying and use this rig to the death of it, or until I am playing games at 30 fps @ 600x800.:D

This insanity has to end.:(
