I wouldn't even load the drivers from the cd that comes with the card. download the latest nvidia drivers from their website. geo123 12-03-2005, 02:29 AM gainward or bfg it is!! thanks man...but on the home page of sysopt it says that the evga is a good option? Midknyte 12-03-2005, 03:05 AM evga is good as far as the reference cards are concerned. they have a good warranty and support program. you could get a pny, evga, etc. and they would basically perform the same. mrcsharp 12-03-2005, 10:33 PM I was also thinking about getting the 6600GT. Would the MSI be a good option? causticVapor 12-04-2005, 01:33 PM MSI would be a good option. All of them tend to be good though (as they follow the reference design closely). I remember reading an anandtech article where normal and overclocked speeds between 10 6600gt cards didn't vary greatly. Buy on price and the type of cooler you want. That said, newegg has/had some lucrative deals on 6600gts with instant price reductions. Midknyte 12-04-2005, 04:30 PM overclocking is by luck of the draw. I've seen some reference PNY and eVGA cards overclock higher than BFGs. However, BFG and Gainward guarantee a preoverclocked speed with warranty. Most other companies will void your warranty if you OC over stock speeds. SysOpt.com
