What's the lampshade for?? When I had our lady mogs done, they just had a bit of the tummy shaved and some stitches. After 10 days, those were out, no lampshade or nothing. :eek:

I'll agree too, we've had 4 fem cats fixed over the years and none of them have hadthat thing , maybe it's to keep JM off

Sposed to stop her from pullin' her own stitches out ........ Makes it tricky to eat tho ......... I dunno, I guess I'll take it off later & see what happens ............ Only 2 visable stitches & she has all ready jumped up on to the kitchen work surface 3 times, So I guess she ain't feeling icky ......... Wodda MOG :)

Nahh thats the way they do it these days here in the good ole U of K .........

You can request that they go in via the tummy route ..... But they have to cut muscle & stuff ..... So aparently unless you have a "Show cat" they do it this way ........

Annalisa is comfortable enough to jump up on to the kitchen table etc now & it hasn't made the insicion bleed or anything ....... I was amazed .......... (lampshade has been cast aside too) Bugger that buisness ;) (Said the cat)

Bloody hell, I was quoted 4 times that go get my little girl scooped out. Did they actually do a full hysterectomy or just remove the ovaries?
Here they do the whole lot, you don't get much of a choice, but I'd much rather just the tubes ripped out and the cat up and about the next day instead of a potentially dangerous procedure and have to take extra special care of the thing for up to 2 weeks.

Ok it ain't me ......... But if I was used to being able to leap 4 to 6 times my height ....... & I could still do it after major invasive surgery ...... Given 3 hours ........ I recon I know what I would choose :)
