Strange files in my Trend Micro Internet Security folder

I have found some strange files in my Trend Micro Internet Security folder.
They are huge (all together they total 800mb) and I can't find anything about them on the internet.
They are named such things as vss#####.001 (where # can be any character)
Does anyone know what they are, or if you use TMIS, do you have them. I think it could be some sort of quarantine file.


Any ideas?

What are the dates on the files? If they are old, delete them.

Trend Micro uses such extensions (.000-.999) for their pattern files. Unfortunately, it's not much good at cleaning up after itself.
