asf and avi to mpeg, vob or dat converter

Is there any program that can convert from asf and avi to mpeg, vob or dat.

Got some movies, but wana use my decoder card to watch them on big screen TV instead of the lame monitor.

Not entirely sure about the rest, but I know for sure that ASF cannot be converted to anything because it's an M$ proprietary format. But I'm pretty sure that .DAT and .AVI can be converted to MPG rather easily.

Look for a program called VCDtoMPG for DAT->MPG conversion.
