I picked up a Packard Bell off the curb as I am trying to put together a little internet/word proc box for my neice, that has the speakers on the side of the monitor. I figured this would save me a couple of bucks. The power transformer escaped my eyes and by the time I went back by where I picked them up our fine city employees had picked the other stuff up. Does anybody have a monitor with the transformer like this in some deep dark corner of their basement/attic that could give me the output, in volts and amps, of the transformer? TIA. I googled for help but to no avail.

I know this doesn’t answer your question. Depending on how old this packard bell is you might have trouble even getting it on the net. What’s in this thing?

Packard Bell 1420 monitor with the speakers screwd on the sides. Funny that they left the wire from speaker to speaker on there as well as the wire from the speaker that runs to sound card. I thought I might be able to get one of those transformers that are adjustable from Radio Shack to power the speakers.
