How can I transfer files from me old dydtem to my new system. The old is a 486 w/ win3.1 and the new is celery O/C w/ win98. I would like to do this without removeing the old HHD and making it a slave on the new system.
Thanks in advance.
Moving the hard drive would be fastest. Short of that, floppies or uploading to yourself to download later.

When I change or replace my hard drives, I usually set the new drive up with Windows and install all the programs and then use copy/paste from within windows explorer to copy those individual saved working files from the 'slave' which were on the old drive.
This way I have a nice clean install, though it can be a time consuming job depending on how many files need to be copied over and how they are organized on your old HD.
Have you considered using Interlink? Set up the W3.1 machine as the server (Intersvr), and with a little screwing around in your config.sys file, you can get Interlink running on the W95 system. I did just that this morning actually. Either use a null modem cable, or a laplink/interlink parallel cable. The parallel cable is a lot faster though...
