I have an Abit bx6-2, pentium 350, a Promise Ultra 66 card for my WD hdd, 2 Maxtors and a Kenwood 52x cd-rom. DMA is set to auto in the bios.
Seems like before I added the Promise card and the second Maxtor I could check the DMA boxes for the respective drives and it held. Now it doesn't.
I don't expect the WD to use DMA as it is now considered scsi under the Promise adapter. Would that have any bearing on the other drives using DMA?
