Hi guys,

wonder if you can help.

My current system is running PATA 120GB 7200rpm drives but I had the option to use SATA drives.

What benefit would there be of swapping the drive to SATA?

Also, how could I do this without rebuilding the PC? I have so much rubbish on it I dont want to rebuild, can I use ghost?

Matt

check out these threads. Try using the search function before posting a new thread.

you would need to at least do a repair install, since changing the hd controller would alter the HAL.

No big deal. it's just faster for you to at least try a search, rather than waiting around for someone to reply. I don't like reinventing the wheel either.
