At my system at work, I have netscape, but the dns server is broken or something. When I type in just the ip address, I can still get the website. Is there a way for me to connect to my home provider and somehow piggy back out? Also, some ip address don't respond back on that same workstation, is it a hub or something? On my other work station (different part of network), if I type in those ip numbers, it goes through. That workstation is not crippled.
Thanks

try pinging an ip address from the workstation that isnt working ...
it will probably time out in transit..
you lost TCP/IP on that machine..
try to reboot and if that doesnt help
reload the protocol..
are you using DHCP???

I don't know what DHCP is. I think they disconnected a link because they didn't want people surfing while working. Yet, with an ip address you can still get out. Like I said before, some ip address just hangs without giving an error message on that machine. I was hoping to somehow still get out. Thanks again
