Well worth a watch, l had seen it earlier in't year but it still just blows your mind.

Shot across the north of England, their films, intended to play in the travelling shows that toured the region, recorded people leaving their place of work and heading off to play: attending public processions; promenading along seafronts; cramming tramcars; watching football games (among the shorts is a fragment from Manchester United’s first match playing under that name).

Painstakingly restored by the British Film Institute, these images form the basis of this mesmerising three-part series. In a surprisingly affecting touch, descendants of some of the figures glimpsed in Mitchell and Kenyon’s films have been traced, and sit astonished as they watch great-grandparents they know only from old photographs suddenly come to life; a faint echo of the feeling their great-grandparents must have experienced when they saw the films first time round. But you don’t have to be related to anyone here to feel the connection.

Decode ...... Like pulling multiple pages of teletext ........... Obviously a bit faster ..... But thats about it ........... Ya gotta realise that sat is a lil more complex than the other ...... But once you have it in yer wires so to speak (On the ground) its similar ........ Except Sky spend freakin millions on theer encryption systems ....... To the point they just bought the company that made it in the 1st place (NDS (http://www.nds.com/) ) :t
