Is there any way that I can *help* my HP 8110 CD RW drive see these disk as what they are instead of the normal run-of-the-mill 650 MB/ 74' disks? I am using Adaptec v3.0 (haven;t installed the 3.5 upgrade yet b/c it caused problems at work). Thanks-Dave

I used 3.5b at work. Didn't use wizard, went thro' steps manually. When I told it I wanted to write CD, the program complained, but I told it to proceed and it did. There was something about this on Adaptec's web site. Plus they are up to V3.5c. You don't know 4 sure until you try.

Regards, SG

sg. There is an Easy CD Creator 4 out now. It's great.
daveleau. Don't think you can milk much more than about 600 out of the 650 disk. I think it has something to do with closing out the disk. I would agree with sg and visit Adaptec's site. Good Luck. RJ

Good maybe there's hope then. Did you upgrade the firmware? Or does it still have the original configuration? I hope that site is wrong!

I found a site that says that the Sony made drives (of which my HP 8110 is of the same technology) are the only drives that cannot overburn or burn 700 MB (80') disks. Bummer. Wish they had that info out when I bought it.

I recently upgraded to 3.5c and it had no effect. The program is more stable for bruning disks with thousands of files though. I routinely burn disks that have 30- 50 Thousand files and 3.0 was very unstable allocating space. 3.5c has no problem.
