Hi. I was wondering what I could do to solve this problem that happens intermittently with my two 18GB hard drives. Every now and then, after booting up my system, I'll notice that either C: or D: (or both) is running in ms-dos compatibility mode. Restarting usually solves this, but something tells me that there's a better solution. I'm currently running Win98, but would very much like to use NT 4.0. May I also have a little info on how to successfully install NT? Thanks in advance!

well, i dont know about the dos mode thing, but check your autoexec and config files for anything wacky. ideally, they should both be empty
as for NT, if you want to dual boot, all you have to do is boot to a floppy, and run the winnt.exe from the i386 dir. since win98 is already installed, NT will automatically have the option to dual boot on the startup screen.
