Hi,

Does anyone have, or know where I can get a driver for a rockwell chipset modem. It was already in the PC I bought and is recognised under Win95 OSR2 as a standard modem.

I don't know who makes it, but it is an internal ISA card and has a Rockwell chip with the following writen on it...

L39/U
L3903-57
9606 A91779-3

The card has the only the following on it...

FCC-ID: EUD5U9BR14296
FCC Number: EUDUSA-23313-MM-E

I have tried looking at ites such as...
www.driverguide.com (http://www.driverguide.com) www.windrivers.com (http://www.windrivers.com) www.driverforum.com (http://www.driverforum.com)

...but with no joy!

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hello. I have a Rockwell Modem and was fortunate in that Win98se recognized and supplied proper driver. Before I was using a Win95 "standard" driver and received same results as Rockwell driver. Does it really matter? Does the modem function any better with a driver because it's labeled "Rockwell?" I don't know.

Sometimes the proper drivers allow access to features not obtainable under the windows 95/98 drivers 9e.g. just look at most graphic card drivers - they almost always allow 'extra' things on the card to be utilised.

Try going to the FCC's site and do a search on that #
