Hello all,
Right now I'm using adaptecs easy cd 4.0..But it's not very reliable. When I bought my CDRW(ACER)The guy at COMP USA said that he uses something beside ezcd..
My question is. What is he using. And is it better than EZCD or Direct CD?

I use ezcd 4. Sometimes it is best to copy to hard drive first the burn. Make sure you have screen saver turn off and things running in the background. and do not try to use any other program why you burn.

Well I dont have the new 4.0 adaptec software but 3.5c has never let me down....but I also have Nero, CDRWin, Win on CD and "plextor 2000" (plextor's custom software). I will say for ease of use Adaptec has been the most easy to use as well as one of the most reliable. Next would be "Plextor's" and then would be CDRwin then Nero and I personally would not recomend win on cd (it sucked for me).
I would double check my configuration and make sure everything is working properly and I bet you will not have many problems with whatever software you use.

Used Easy Cd Creator, with a HP 8110i CD-RW. Never had any problems to speak of (other than my own learning process.) Have upgraded to their version 4 and love it. Good Luck.

I use NTI- CD creator and CD copy everything works great and is easy to use, never burned a bad copy and very easy to understand menus and dialogs. §Ļo)
I'm using Instant CD suite marketed by Novastor. (VOB in germany is the creator) This one seems to work the best for me, and give me the most flexability. Many of the other cd programs wouldn't talk to either my cdrw or my fast cdr (I could get one or the other). I'm using an Yamaha4416.
I think the best part of Instant CD is that I can setup buffers so that cd to cd actually works. Other than if I'm assembling a music cd, I don't write things to disk first anymore.
Instant CD is different than VOB. How much, I don't know. But VOB can't see my cdr.
