Your keyboard MAY be on it's way out. If I remember correctly, there's a controller in the keyboard (or has something to do with the keyboard) that routes certain functions. I forget what they do. But this may be the cause of your problem. Since you're using such a previously common keyboard, you might want to hop over to your local flea market or computer shop that's been around for a while and try and locate another. They shouldn't charge you 5 dollars for a really old keyboard. Heck, I'm using my Packard Bell keyboard I got on my PB686 back in 89. A 286/12 even! Of course, this is just speculation about your problem, but if you have been using it fine for 15 years and for no good reason(dumped a soda on it, dog thought it was the toilet, Godzilla stomped on it) it just started having these problems, the keyboard itself could be suspect as I'm using the same drivers you're using. Double check your plug connections though. Make sure the cables is connected properly in the back. Clean off any dust. If possible, open the keyboard up and make sure all the wires are connected properly and there's nothing fishy looking.

Hi. I use an old IBM keyboard (with Win98se) as I enjoy its weight, removable keys, etc. I have been getting erratic operation from it recently. When I first begin a computer session, the curser will often delay, i.e., I'll move it with NumPad (Accessibility features on) but it will not move for 5 - 10 seconds. Locks up. After awhile, it operates smoothly, though sometimes I must reboot. Any ideas? Anyone know if a driver other than standard 101/102 keyhoard or Microsoft Natural keyboard would solve my problem?

Thx!
