Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Default Sound ?
Hi,
I wonder if someone could help,
I've signed up with an internet call display program. It will notify you of incoming calls while your on the net. My problem is that it's supposed to notify you with sound, the default sound for Windows. I've gone into control panel/sounds and I don't see a "default sound " setting ? Where can I set the default sound ?
Thanx......

Start, settings, control panel, sounds, default sound, pick one and apply.
Hmmmmmmm,???
Thanks for that info Underclocked, but the problem still remains...
I understand how to access and change sounds, my problem is that have no "default sound" option.. it's not there ??

What Windows version are you running? You might uninstall sound schemes from windows setup in add/remove, then reinstall and see if that gets it back???

Windows 95 version 4.00 B
It seems like I may have deleted that option by accident... /forum/redface.gif
Is there any way to find it in my system or reinstall it ??

does it have to absolutely have the default windows sound? because you can always download some sort of .wav file that you like and in the same directory mentioned before just click on the selected sound scheme (.ie close window, or whatever the name may be.) and just click on the browse button to find the wav file in whatever folder you saved it to and choose open and it should install and youshould be able to check it with the play button and it should work after that..
hope that helps...=)
Hi commodsquad,,
Yes, I can choose whatever sound I want to be the windows default, as I said earlier if I go into settings/controlpanel/sounds there should be "Windows default" setting under EVENTS, where I can select a wav file. In my case I don't have "Windows default" under EVENTS.
I am beginning to think there may be a problem in the call display program itself.
