Greetings!

I just purchased a new computer system and am ready to install my programs and transfer my data over from my old 'puter.

Configuration:
ASUS P5WD-2 Premium
Intel Pentium D 830 3.0 GHz Dual Core
DDR II 667 (4 X 512 MB)
Maxtor Diamond Max 300 GB SATA II X 2 in RAID 1 configuration
XP Home Ed. SP2

The dealer delivered it to me as a simple C: drive setup, but I partitioned (using Partition Magic) the 300 GB C drive into equally sized C and D drives in order to use the D drive for data and the C drive primarily for OS and programs.

My question is: What about the other 300 G drive - the mirrored drive - does it become automatically partitioned as well, or does it have to be partitioned manually, or what?

I would appreciate any assistance or advice on this.

Thank you so much in advance.

by definition, a mirror has an exact copy of the drive on BOTH drives. both drives are identical, so that if one dies, you still have a live copy.
