Fic Va503+ bios problems. URGENT!!!

Hi!

I have this va503+ (1.2a) and when i flash
the bios to the latest one i can boot up
w98... i hangs i the middle of the startup screen. i must say this i extremly annoying.
does anybody know what do to? already tried to go "bios setup defaults" and so on...
plz help ...

Can you get in in safe mode?

You went in and did the BIOS setup defaults, but did you re-enter and change any options further? What video card are you using?

Have you loaded the VIA drivers? If not, try them. If so, use only the agp miniport driver and switch back to the MS drivers for the IDE.

i use a STB velocity 4400 (tnt)
Im gonna trie to remove the via bus master
and see if it´ll work.
i still get udma right?

Yes, but you must install the MS drivers instead. Did it work? /forum/smile.gif

sure did. now running the latest bios.
but i updated the busmaster driver to via´s new one instead... after that it booted up fine /forum/smile.gif thanx guys!
