I have installed a PCI networkcard for my Abit BH6 Cel300>450 Win98 (first edition). The driver started to load but then the PC reboots and I get the safe mode start which hangs... /forum/frown.gif
I have the following cards in the PCI and ISA slots...SCSI card (PCI), Soundblaster Live (PCI) and a modem (ISA) and parallel-port card (ISA) as well as an AGP gfx card. The problem is probably the assignment of the IRQs (correct me if I'm wrong) since it just reboots the system. When I removed the PCI network card again it worked again. When I replaced the modem card (ISA) with an ISA networkcard I had the same problem. My BIOS is not flashed and it is set to assign IRQs automaticly. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance...
