Hi, i have a Logitech First Mouse, with 3 buttons!
My mobo are an Ali V based chipset, Gigabyte GA5-AA !
I have a Stealth3 s540 AGP and Diamond Sonic Impact S90.

When i install the logitech mouse driver to "load" the 3
buttons, my system restarts slowly, and in the windows, the speed is very
very slow too!! To my system works correct, i have to remove the Mouse from
System Proprieties, but when i do that, the Middle button does not work
anymore!!

I'm needing so much of this button, if someone can tell me another
way to enable the middle button, or solve this problem, i will really apreciate!!

Thanks a lot.

Are you using the latest Logitech drivers with a v8x version of the Mouseware utility? I believe version earlier than v8.0 had problems with Win98. Startup is a little slower when using this software, but it should be too bad.

When i install this drivers, the startup goes from 30 seconds to 5 minutes!

Question - where'd you get that driver? If you downloaded it off the web, do a virus scan on your system - hope you didn't catch anything. You probably didn't.
Also, after the system loads, check your task list and find out what loaded. end task on anything you don't think you need and see if something else interacting with the mouse is wrecking your processor performance. Most slow system starts are due to all sorts of things loading at start-up. Right click on the gray area of your tool bar at the bottom, properties, startmenu, advanced, programs, startup - what's in there? Do you need or want it all? I've got nothing in mine and have many fewer problems than most.
