Any help on shorting out the CMOS jumper? Which jumper is it? Pantion 10-25-1999, 09:49 AM In some motheboard... I said some... there is a jumper to erase the CMOS settings. Use it and then boot-up your computer and enter the BIOS to reconfigure all your settings. Butchk 10-25-1999, 09:57 AM In some cases the jumper is located next to the battery. Sometimes the jumper has cmos stamped on the board next to it. Every motherboard is different so good luck. Pantion 10-25-1999, 04:26 PM If anything else fails only remove the battery, wait 10 secs or more if you want to go for a drink /forum/smile.gif and then put it were it was. No wrong way with that one. card_magic 10-25-1999, 06:56 PM I locked myself out of bios once, on some old crappy motherboard. I didn't want to short it out, so I flipped a cable upside down or something that would automatically kick me into bios so I could get rid of it. I doubt it works for most people, it was a pretty crummy board. SysOpt.com
