stalker nearly done!

just read on this german site ( http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc-spiele/action/29075/ ) that stalker is nearly finished

it says that some guy from oblivion-lost.com visited the stalker team and its nearly done. they are just working on some balancing and bug fixing!

Cool i was really looking forwad to this one but i gave up hope after about 6months..

Not wanting to resurrect dead threads, but i saw this as i was browsing. Word on the street is that Stalker wont be making an appearance until Q4 2006 now, a storyline rewrite and re-engineering of the AI (which was apparnetly terrible) being the main culprits

I remeber when i first hear about stalker the wow thing was it had drictx9 effects..
Hope it still is up with the times graphics wize when its released..

the delays on this one are even worse than hl2.
remember, it was supposed to hit market before valve's big one.
i'm thouroughly disgusted.

IMO The gameplay demo's from a yaear or two ago looked pretty horrible to start with as it was (in particular, the horrible AI i mentioned above was clearly evident in the videos) - im not suprised at the delay's, given the scope of the project, however i will be suprised if it turns out to eb any good when it does arrive

it says blablabla there will be a book released . . . nothing special

but it says: "....mittlerweile verschoben und ist mittlerweile auf Ende 2006 festgesetzt"

which means that the release has been changed to the END of 2006 :eek:

True, i dont understand why we get the book first and you dont, doesnt take that long to translate it :confused:
