I need to find out if there is any software out there that can be downloaded like shareware, trial etc.... for using two pc's at different houses that can use the same internet account. I need to try and get this working as soon as possible if this is a possible thing. Any help would greatly be APPRECIATED. I'm trying to use two computers my brother on one me on mine and play against each other in a friendly game of q3 /forum/smile.gif)
THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE OR TIPS..

I'm using the first win98 unfortunately /forum/smile.gif I knew about the SE version I thought maybe there might be something that could hold me over till I get my internet account set back up /forum/smile.gif Thanks for any help that you might offer me /forum/smile.gif
Let's get this straight... You want to use one account set up on two computers at two completely seperate locations, not on a network or anything, and have them both online on the same account at the same time? I think your ISP would have a problem with that...

I have an internet account that my son and I share. He has his own place and I have mine.
If I can't get on line it is usually because he is on, and he can't get on it I am on, but we each can get on-just not at the same time.
I don't believe your ISP will source two addresses to two phone #'s on one account.
However, if you are using a local little guy ask for a favor!
If I've got it right, you want to connect to your brother for multiplayer gaming, right?
Instead of doing something illegal that will cost you your ISP account at the very least, why not just dial directly from one to the other? You don't need to be on the 'net for this! All you need is simple terminal software like PC Connect or ProComm. Heck, even windows "terminal" applet might work. If not, there should be freeware out there.
This used to be the only way to get connected, us old folks remember doing this!

yeah we do this already for some of the other games my cousin and I, but games like need for speed have a server type set up but you can't have more than one person on the phone at once. Have any of you tried to connect mutiple computers through a client type set up? If you need to know this is the game that we already use need for speed 3 it allows us to call and play over the phone line against each other but with my cel.300a(450) against there 233k6-2 and 300k6-23dnow, my cousin says his gets choppy sometimes to the point of him not being able to control what his car does. Anyone with a tip on how to fix this... He also has a USR winmodem56k and I have a ordinary ISA 56k modem????
Thanks for anymore help that any of you have for me. You have to understand tha I new at this type of thing and II'm just trying to get any info on it that maybe out there. Again thanks for your help in trying to tel me what choices that are available to me.
thanks,
James

I had earthlink, and was able to have as many logins as i wanted. Try dialing a different number then the other computer, sometimes it wont know that your account is already signed on. I dont think earthlink keeps track at all, cause i could be signed on from home and go to work and sign on too.
