I have 2 hardrives in my system one is for windows and apps the other is for games the 1st for windows and apps is a 5400 rpm western ditagel 6.4 giger. The 2nd for gaming iks a 7200 rpm by the same company that is 9.1 gigs. I want to buy a 25 giger and transfer all the stuff I installed from the 9.1 gigers to the 25 giger without re-installing everything. How do I do that?

I did much the same thing...I installed the new drive as a third HDD and made it C: and the other two slaves. I then formatted it and installed the OS. After that was working good, I moved the programs one at a time, making sure everthing was working.

The best way is what SAHALL98 told you.

It's always good to start with a fresh install anyway, and then you can load all the programs and the saved files to go with them.
This makes for a clean, fast running new install.

This is what I just did yesterday:

Master EIDE 1: 6g
Slage EIDE 1: 4g

Disconnected both CDROMS on EIDE 2.

Put 27gig on EIDE2.

Used Partition Magic to create new partitions by coping the partitions off of the old drives to the new drive.

Disconnected the old drives and connected the new drive from EIDE 2 to EIDE 1. Attached the CDROMs and system is up and running.

The 9.1 is slave to the 6.4 correct? What other IDE devices? Easiest way would be simply to put the new drive on the secondary IDE and copy everything using explorer.

If that's not possible, get a copy of DiskClone from Quartedeck. Excellent disk copy util. Will work great for your usage, since it's completely floppy based and does not require HD installation.

Install the new drive in place of the 6.4gb. Yes, I know it's your boot drive, but it's not needed for this. We're working in (gasp) DOS this time.
Boot with DiskClone boot disk. Program will start & prompt you as to source & destination drives.
Follow the prompts. Program will format the destination drive, set up any partitions, and copy contents of source drive.
When finished, reconnect the drives with the 6.4 as master & the 25 as slave, leaving out the 9.1gb. Or you could then copy the 6.4 over to the 9.1 & use it as master.

Once needed to copy a drive's contents to new drive for someone who's drive was full to the crash point. No room to install anything. Found this program & it worked perfectly! Have used many times since with no problems.
